Beginning is always the hardest part....
I've been meaning to start one of these for quite some time now. I just hadn't gotten around to it. I am home alone on a quite Sunday, afternoon. In my small, busy little home this is not a common occurring. At times I crave these moments, but not today. Today it makes me feel lonely. That is okay. It has brought me to writing this blog that I've been meaning to get around to. Everything gets accomplished in its own time. This morning, at church, the sermon discussed some interesting ideas I had not ever really thought about before. So often I don't imagine the bible and the characters in it as people like you and me. The preacher talked of the men who wrote the bible and what they were like during that process; he described Luke as having a notebook with all sorts of random scraps of paper tucked into it ready to jot down an interview or Matthew with his desk covered in index cards organizing all the laws. I had never given very much of a thought of the writers these men were, but they were all the same. It inspired me today. I am an inspiring writer. These men had a story to tell. I have a story to tell. You have a story to tell as well. We all have stories. If we would simply share them we can learn so much from each other. I believe we were created to tell the stories that have shaped us. I will try my best to commit to this blog on a weekly basis to tell you a story. It might be a story about something that happened to me. It could be a story I heard someone else tell me. I would love to hear your story. Tune in next week, until then......have a good one.
